Relaxation for sleep

The aim of this recording is to help you relax so that you can fall asleep.  It therefore won’t bring you back out of the relaxation but will leave you in a restful state so that you can (hopefully) drift off.  Even if you are still awake at the end of the recording don’t worry… being in a relaxed state like this is beneficial and will help you feel rested even if you don’t manage to fall fast asleep.

This relaxation starts by focusing on your breath to help calm the mind and create focus.  It moves through a progressive muscle relaxation, tensing and releasing all your muscles before relaxing each part of the body.  It leaves you in a restful, relaxed state.
